I have always enjoyed Coffe Shops and Diners:
Village Inne has locations throughout Utah and other Western States
Blue Bird Paradise, a turn-of-the-century soda fountain with all homemade items is on Main Street in Logan, UT
Mom and Pop Diners like Flying M Restaurant in Panguitch, UT can't be beat
I am a sushi eater so Happy Sumo is always a favorite choice
Stein Erickson's Lodge is AWESOME!!! The only 5 star restaurant in Utah, located in Park City, UT
We love the Fish Shack in Rockport, Mass, best lobster rolls, scallops, and steamers anywhere
