This simple dessert comes out like a cakey bar cookie. Strawberry cake recipes are slim in pickings, so enjoy this one. Beautiful topped with fresh strawberries and sifted powdered sugar.
CAKE INGREDIENTS Yield: 1 Jelly Roll Pan
1 Strawberry Cake Mix
4 Eggs
1 21 oz can Strawberry Pie Filling divided
FROSTING INGREDIENTS
8 oz Strawberry Creamcheese, softened
1/2 Cup Butter Softened
4 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/4 Cup of the Strawberry Pie Filling
Cake:
Beat cake ingredients in a bowl. Pour into a greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake at 350○ for 18 -20 minutes. Cool completely and frost.
Frosting:
Beat the creamcheese and butter until well mixed. Slowly add powdered sugar and the pie filling and mix well. Spread on cooled bars.
